Quaternion Editorial is the freelance text services business of Beth Lee-De Amici. Beth has been working as a freelance editor and proofreader since 2020, as a freelance indexer since 2023, and as a freelance typesetter since 2025. They have a PhD in historical musicology from the University of Pennsylvania and the professional certificate in editing from UC Berkeley Extension. They also completed the professional course in indexing through UC Berkeley Extension.

Before becoming a freelancer, Beth spent ten years working as an adjunct professor at several universities, and also spent three years working as a real property appraiser for the Los Angeles County Office of the Assessor.

When not busy editing, indexing, or typesetting, Beth enjoys kayaking with their dog, reading, and going to the opera, the theater, the ballet, and the movies. Beth also maintains several blogs about media and popular culture, and they are trying to get up the courage to revise their first novel, a humorous paranormal thriller. Beth lives in Maryland.
